Marquetry Borders and InlaysMarquetry borders - Perimeter marquetry of straight grained veneers impart a distinctive and muted elegance to table, desk and credenza tops and doors. The standard marquetry configuration is a 3 3/4 inch wide vertical grain border with a 1/8 inch wide inlay strip of white maple adjacent to the interior edge of the border. Veneers used for marquetry include Cherry, Walnut, Mahogany, Maple, Teak and Birch. Inlays - Polished brass, solid wood, and solid color plastic inlay strips add interest and elegance to desks, conference tables and reception desks. Marbles and GranitesThe use of marble or granite in a conference table top, desktop or reception station in combination with wide, solid wood rails produces the effect of understated elegance. The disparate characteristics of the two materials creates a muted intermingling of materials that is striking in its simplicity. Bella has available from suppliers many different colors and patterns of granite and marble including reds, greens, grays, beiges and blacks. LaminatesSolid colors and wood grain laminates from Wilsonart, Nevamar and Formica are Bella's standard laminates and prices include any color or wood grain from these manufacturers. Patterns and laminates from manufacturers other than the three listed require special quotes. Price increases are usually minor.
